"The Truth"Most people today hold false assumptions on Motorcyclists. Common beliefs consist of tatoos, disrespectful people, gangs and the overall danger of the sport. Although some of these aspects can be occasionally true they are not representative of realality. I have been riding since I was five, transitioning from dirt to street and know first hand how false these common misconceptions are. Many who hold these negative expectations qucikly change their opinions after being exposed to the true world of Motorcycles. They see that most of the danger comes from stupid drivers, and that the people who ride are very accepting of others. Chances are you know individuals that ride and dont even know it. The common belief of gangs, disrespectful people, and just the standard sterotypes are ridiculous. Most of the bike runs I have been on have been for charity, as those involved in bike clubs are always in an effort to help those in need, as well as the community. |
